Spotl commits to protecting the data of users who visit or log into our site ("Visitors"), of users who signed up to our services platform ("Members"), and those who contribute to it ("Post-editors"). This privacy policy applies to the entirety of Spotl's domain names, namely spotl.io, spotl.fr, spotl.net, spotl.media, spotl.agency and spotl.studio.
This privacy policy describes the information that we receive, and how we process it. Any identifying information ("personal data"), as well as any other information collected from our visitors, members and post-editors from the use of tools that we provide.Personal information is only used for the following reasons:

When you sign up as a user, member or post-editor, we collect certain information, like your name, company name, e-mail address or phone number, a photo, your address or company address, company identification and the country from which you are contacting us. Our post-editors provide us with information that proves their capacity as a translator: years of experience, native language and CV, as well as the time frames within which they would like to be contacted. We also collect information relative to work carried out by post-editors: post-editing times, and number of tasks completed.
All data given directly to us (video files, corrections on the post-editing) or indirectly (extraction of audio data, transcription or translation files, subtitling, burned video files) are stocked on our servers.
If you want to sign up to a newsletter through our website, or access other content on our site, we will collect personal data, such as your name and e-mail address, in order to send you the newsletter. You can choose to no longer receive our newsletter or marketing e-mails by following the unsubscribing instructions included in each of our e-mails, or you can contact us at privacy@spotl.io.
We can collect personal data, namely e-mail address and company name, from people who attend our events or events organized by third parties in which we take part. This information is collected with the consent of each individual.
If you send us personal data, we only use it for specific ends, detailed in this privacy policy. All fortuitous transmission of personal data is at your own risk.
Information relative to our client's payment methods are collected and processed by a third party in accordance with their own privacy policy and their own confidentiality practices. We do not keep our client's credit card or SEPA/IBAN information. However, we do save our post-editors IBAN to pay the bills that they submit to us.

We use the information and personal data we collect to help us run and maintain our website and our services. This information is used to verify accounts and their activity, to ensure security and to prevent suspicious activities or violation of one of our terms, or agreements you may have made with us. We use all collected information and data to:

The improvement of our subtitling models and those relative to the post-editing efforts is based on the optimization of our neural network "trained" using the content that you submit to us. This data is "anonymized" and cannot be used to identify or describe you.
In some circumstances, if you do not provide the personal data required (for example, for us to sign you up to use our services), we will not be able to provide the aforementioned services of our contract with you, or we will not be able to be in line with legal obligations. We will clearly indicate how and when a situation presents itself, and what the consequences will be for refusing to provide personal data.
We work with partner companies (Deepl, Speechmatics, Google) to undertake the transcription and translation of videos sent to us. No personal information is sent to these partners. Only content produced by the subtitling process is transmitted to these partners. We work with these companies because we trust them, and they respect your data in the same way that we do.
We will not put your information, including personal data, in the hands of other parties, excluding cases specified in this privacy policy, or with your explicit consent. We will also not sell, rent, exchange or share your information, including your personal data, with third parties, without your given consent, for purposes other than what you have requested or signed up for.
If we are implicated in a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our shares, your information, including personal data, can be transferred to the acquiring party. You will be informed of any impact on the use of your information, including personal data, as well as choices you can make related to these changes.
We keep information, including personal data of our users and visitors, as long as is necessary for the functioning of our services, or to answer requests. We will only keep or use information and personal data when necessary to respect our agreements, legal requirements or resolving litigation.
